..... or what you need to know about the web sites.

Web sites have become an essential part of business and celebrities alike. You may find that celebrities this days will have the agent, the accountant, the publicist, the manager and also the web designer as part of their team.

Growing rapidly, the internet has gone from nothing to a huge empire in the past few years. And that has obviously attracted the attention of people often seen on the TV screen and that want to be part of the computer screen world as well.

Creating web site is not hard in essence. Many people will know someone that claims they can do it. And indeed they can. It's just unfortunate they probably won't have any sense of design, color, functionality and all the things that come with professional design.

So, it's not everyday that you see eye catchy website that is simple, elegant and functional. Searching for the right web designer can be a job on its own. Getting a hold of the ones you find may prove to be just as hard.

Once the search is over, the discussions begin.
The designer will need to know your targets, what you want to achieve with the site, what sort of people will visit it, what you want from them and what you think they'll want from you. Once after this things have been settled should one start talking about the looks.

There are 3 essential elements necessary to build a website...

Pictures: Choosing the right pictures to create the site can be tricky. A celebrity will obviously want to use their best photoshoot as part of the main design of the site, which often calls for a brand new photoshoot. It's important that the client has this good shoot before they even begin searching for the web designer. Photoshoots are lengthy process, photographers aren't always reliable and pictures aren't sent on time. All that may delay the creation of the site by several weeks and your designer won't be happy to wait !

Menu Options: This should be absolutely the essential areas that you need on the site. Forget the areas that are too innovative. Stick with the basic needs, remember what the people that visit the site will want to see, and remember that they'll probably come back and expect those areas to be slightly updated.
The menu options should carefully discussed with your designer before the creation is started. Changing your mind after it's all finished isn't always a welcome option.

Content: Here will be the text and pictures that will go under the options on the menu. They should be given to your designer as soon as you possibly can. Delay in providing the designer with the content will once again means delay in launching your site, and that certainly won't make anyone happy.

One you gather everything up and send it over, the designer should either show you a simple sample of what can be done or should show you one of the pages fully functional. If you like what you see you give them the "go ahead" and they'll continue with the site creation ... but again, changing your mind about the design and suddenly wishing to see new one after there's a nearly finished site is not a good idea.

Apart from those 3 elements cited before, there are also 2 other very important things you'll need if you want a website. The first one is domain [yourname.com], which hopefully you'll be lucky to get before anyone else does. The second is host, which is "place" where your site will be located, so that people all over the world can access it.
If not yet taken care of, your designer should be able to advise you who to go with.

Good luck with your presentation at the internet !
